Madrigal Family Winery, a Napa Valley winery renowned for its vineyards and agricultural legacy, is run by Chris Madrigal, the family’s 3rd generation and the founder’s grandson. Located on Highway 29 halfway between Calistoga and St. Helena in the renowned Napa Valley, the Madrigal Family Winery continues the family tradition of viticultural leadership and wine production. Since the 1930s, the family has been building its reputation and earning recognition for their vineyard management program as well as their wines. Situated on 40 acres of estate vineyards, the state-of-the-art Madrigal winery specializes in Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Sauvignon Blanc, and small lots of single vineyard and estate wines.
In April 2013, Bacchus Capital Management made a significant infusion of equity growth capital to Madrigal Family Winery. In August 2014, Madrigal Family Winery opened an additional tasting room at 819 Bridgeway in the heart of Sausalito, CA, which had a successful run in the wine and art community of Sausalito but was forced to close during the Covid pandemic. This partnership with Bacchus has provided Madrigal with the resources and expertise needed to build the brand long term.
Jayson Woodbridge and Hundred Acre Wine Group purchased Madrigal Family Winery in July, 2024. The Madrigal brand will remain with Chris Madrigal and his family.
