Steve Cousins has 30 years of wine industry experience with expertise in general management, branding, marketing and sales. He has a successful track record of accelerating growth at family owned and operated wine companies.
Steve is the General Manager of Sbragia Family Vineyards and the President & National Sales Manager of the sales and marketing company, Bacchus Wineworks. He is responsible for all business operations of both businesses including the development and implementation of the company’s sales, marketing and strategic plans. Cousins works closely with Ed Sbragia, the Founder and Executive Winemaker at Sbragia Family Vineyards. At Madrigal Family Vineyards, Cousins also collaborated closely with Quinton Jay, former General Manager, and Chris Madrigal, President. Prior to joining Sbragia Family Vineyards and Madrigal, Cousins owned and operated Cousins Consulting which provided strategic and business planning for several California wineries. Previously, Cousins was COO of Freemark Abbey, CEO of WineQuest (Delicato’s brand company – Delicato, Monterra), CEO and President of RACKE USA (Buena Vista, Robert Stemmler, Haywood) and VP Operations of KIMCO Restaurant Group.
Steve began his career at Somerset wine Company. Since 1994, Cousins and his brother, Bruce, have owned and operated the Armida Winery in Healdsburg, California. Steve earned both a Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Marketing and Finance Summa Cum Laude and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing and Management from Santa Clara University.
