Dobbes Family Estate Celebrates 20th Anniversary
The Roaring Twenties-Themed Event honored the Dobbes family, former and current winery leaders, and Oregon wine industry luminaries
Portland, Oregon (December 12, 2022) — Dobbes Family Estate proudly celebrated its 20th anniversary on Friday, December 9 with a festive, Roaring Twenties-themed soirée at the Ecotrust Building, an 1890’s era warehouse in Portland’s Pearl District. More than 150 guests enjoyed live music by a jazz ensemble, Dobbes library wines, a wine bar, and a preview of the winery’s 2023 releases.
The night began with a special VIP hour featuring Dobbes’ CEO Sarah Pearson, Winemaker Derek Einberger, and appearances by Dobbes Family Estate Founder Joe Dobbes, his children, Amelia Rose and Griffin Dobbes, and former CEO and longtime Dobbes leader, Gretchen Boock. A diverse community of partners also dotted the crowd, including vineyard owners Moe and Flora Momtazi, from whom Dobbes has sourced prized Momtazi Vineyard Pinot Noir fruit for close to two decades.
During the main event, Pearson addressed the gathering, sharing her gratitude for Founder Joe Dobbes and her plans for how the winery will continue to grow: “Joe, I want to thank you for your commitment to Dobbes, for giving back to our community, and for your dedication to quality and to family. All have inspired us and are the foundation of our company’s values today–people, purpose, and progress. Your spirit of entrepreneurship is still strong at the winery, and I am committed to leading Dobbes’ next chapter with the fervor for innovation I know I share with the rest of this team.”
“We’re not straying from the path,” continued Pearson. “It is critical that we continue to welcome all into the world of wine and ensure all can access and enjoy the beauty and potential wine can offer.”
